Abstract
The case study examines the CSR model of a large Indian business conglomerate. The case narrative begins with the description of the company, its mission, vision statement, business verticals, financial performance, CSR Policy, various CSR interventions, implementation model, and CSR spending pattern over the years. The case then evaluates the need for having a roadmap to ensure stakeholder participation and satisfaction from the CSR programs rolled out by the company. By studying this case, students are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of real-life challenges faced by business enterprises in terms of choosing the CSR interventions, stakeholder engagement level during the design stage, prioritizing the CSR activities, embedding the CSR goals with the organizational strategy and thereby building an unique CSR model and aligning it with the company’s business and social philosophy.
