Abstract
This is part of a case series. The case follows the challenges the newly appointed executive chef of the Vineyard Hotel faces in the bakery - mainly unreliable service and product delivery. There is also conflict between the chef and the bakers, with some intimation at frustration with the current organisational culture. It goes on to look at the complexity of the bakery and the current operating problems and how to solve these.
