Abstract
The new chairman of Frito-Lay, the Dallas-based manufacturer of consumer snack food brands, including Doritos corn chips, Lay''s potato chips, and Ruffles potato chips assumed his responsibilities. As he moved into his new position, he recognized that some degree of change was needed at Frito-Lay, both in terms of the company''s overall marketing strategy for its key brands and in terms of reducing the frictions between the company''s marketing and sales groups.
