Abstract
This case study examines the implementation of a particular business model, ie, the 'Business Model Canvas' (Osterwalder and Pigneur, 2010), at Castorama. The case provides historical background of the multinational company and also contextual factors to evaluate the challenges faced by the company. First, it describes the key building blocks related to the Business Model Canvas and also the potential links across these building blocks. Based on contextual factors, the case is also designed to perform a SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) analysis to better understand the environment around the hotel industry.
