Abstract

CanNet is a small, recently created company, whose business is the provision of Internet services. Two entrepreneurs are considering whether to invest a substantial portion of their personal resources in this company. The recent very rapid growth of the World Wide Web makes CanNet appear to be an interesting venture for them. CanNet has a number of potential growth opportunities, but they all require an investment of funds and they are all risky. CanNet has no long range plan at this time. The entrepreneurs/investors face some decisions: whether to invest in the venture, and if so, in what direction(s) to take the company in the future.
