e-Learning had evolved as an instrument of online learning in multiple sectors of business, education and training. After the arrival of internet, open universities added distance learning within their range for disbursing education with the spread of personal computers. It had particularly strengthened the higher education system through an improved learning system. A wide range of popular books were available in an electronic form on the internet enabling students to learn from home at their convenience. Millions of students had benefitted from the online degree programmes offered by prominent universities covering subjects like technology, psychology, business, health, education and justice. Cost effective online education became immensely popular for spreading knowledge in the digital format. The process was supported through improving technologies, methodologies and global accessibility. The online learning market grew rapidly producing a new generation of instructors for students. The role of educators had also evolved as per the students and business requirements enriching the global industry. Fully online degrees were being offered by universities particularly in the US as institutions adopted online learning as a basic strategy. Online learning was the preferred option for students having disability, transportation issues and managing existing employment. e-Learning had significantly influenced higher education particularly with respect to efficiency and accessibility. Would the processes of higher education be radically transformed through e-Learning?
