Abstract
The 'electronic book', or, eBook had established its steady market growth over the years. A number of esteemed business organisations like Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook, Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, etc had commenced their respective operations in the digital content market. In tune with the fact, Walmart had stepped in the eBook market through its commercial partnership with Rakuten Kobo in 2018. The main objective behind Walmart's such joint venture programme was to provide a stealth business competition to Amazon's dominance in this niche market. Moreover, Walmart had initiated a host of other strategic programmes to take on Amazon commercially. However, industry experts doubted whether Walmart's aggressive strategies would at all help the company to commercially beat Amazon in practice. In this context, will Walmart eBooks be a threat to Amazon?
