Abstract
The general director of Rimeda, was contemplating a strategy for his enterprise to prosper through the tough economic restructuring currently underway in Lithuania, Eastern Europe, the Republics of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the economic recession underway in most Western countries. Rimeda was experiencing enormous uncertainty caused by the changeover from the old centralized system of the former USSR to a new market system, and was preparing plans to privatize the company soon.
