Abstract

MES University is a premier institution for business studies in the city of Kolkata, India. This fictional case deals with an incident where in the university is impacted by a problem. Dr Priya, Coordinator, BBA Honours Programme, is the first one to see that there exists an issue, which brings about inefficiency on part of the professors towards finishing the syllabus on time. She is anxious about the possibility that the entire university could be facing this difficulty, which has gone unnoticed till now. The management failed to cope up with the changes that were brought on by the rapid expansion of the university. In way of solving these problems, she comes across other lingering problems. Thus, this case can help students seek an insight into management principles and its possible implications. Also, it would give them a glimpse into the other aspects of this concept on management principle which are beyond the usual qualitative ones.
