Abstract
Librinova is a self-publishing platform that operates in France. The company started to operate in March 2014. The case takes place in spring 2020, just before the national lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 global pandemics. Librinova had just received an offer from a large corporation to discuss a potential M&A deal. The main question is whether the company should enter this conversation and ultimately team up with a large publishing group. This question points to the more fundamental issue of Librinova's competitive advantage, enterprise value and growth potential. More specifically, the discussion should address the pros and cons of Librinova's 'two-sided platform' business model and explore the opportunity to merge it into a full-fledge publishing activity.
