Abstract

This case deals with an interpersonal conflict created by the protagonist''s decision to promote one of his staff. While the decision made good business sense, it created a host of issues between two team members and potential implications for the rest of the group. Given the multicultural staff, the conflict and its resolution are even more complicated.
