Abstract
The case explores the Etisalat Group's innovative talent development strategies and practices. Specifically, the case outlines the changes within the firm's talent development programmes during the COVID-19 outbreak. Most the company's learning sessions were held at the company's academy before the pandemic. The group redesigned its training and development programme by migrating most of its delivery online during the outbreak. Etisalat's main goal is to become the biggest telecommunication company in the world and for this reason, its staffing practices include striving to attract and employ the right job candidates as well as to develop and support them with the best working environment to enable them to deliver on their duties. With the firm's innovative talent development practices, these had enabled Etisalat to become one of the leading telecommunication providers in the Middle East. Finally, the case highlights the importance of investing in the organisation's most import asset: the human capital. Etisalat continuous to invest heavily in building its people's capability which helps the organisation become an industry leader and enjoy significant growth.
