Abstract
In May 1982, Rob Gianni and Joe Perella, co-owners of Fine Footwear Limited, a ladies'' shoe manufacturer located in Toronto, Ontario, were deciding whether or not to increase production in the coming months. If production was increased, they wondered what effect it would have on the production process, the equipment, and the labour force. They also wanted to maintain the quality of their product.
