Abstract
The case is regarding ZEE Learn Ltd. The Company functions as an education company, which provides education services. In March 2020, a nationwide lockdown was imposed, and institutions had to abandon the usual methods of classroom teaching. This resulted in the adoption of innovative methods of teaching with the use of technology. Companies need to be very flexible in their approach to cutthroat competition in the 21st century. ZEE Learn Ltd was performing very well before the pandemic period. The revenue for the financial year 2018-19 was INR549.3 crore but it declined to 257 crores in the financial year 20-21. The profits of the company are declining. The net profit was INR2.22 crore during the quarter ended September 2020.Net profit of ZEE Learn declined 78.83% to INR0.47 crore in the quarter ended September 2021. ZEE Learn had reported a net loss of INR14.94 crore in the March 2021 quarter. This case will highlight issues and challenges faced by ZEE Learn Ltd in the era of digitalization, particularly during and post-pandemic.
