Abstract
This case helps individuals learn about the difference between individual retirement accounts and employer sponsored retirement programs like 401(k) programs. It presents the retirement planning questions of a new employee including the pros and cons of both types of retirement accounts as well as other important considerations when making a retirement plan including investment options and expense and fee structures. This case asks students to answer a series of questions about retirement planning.
