Abstract
Dual leadership is a management approach in which two people with equal status and authority lead a team. The background note focuses on the benefits and difficulties of the dual leadership model using the example of a television business and how it can be more effective in companies than the traditional single leadership approach. The background note seeks to examine the difficulties with the dual leadership model and how the dual leadership model may be successfully applied in an organisation based on the context of mergers.
