The global pandemic had triggered large scale career transitions. Employees who were considering career shift pondered about the kind of transferable skills that they ought to carry from one job to another. Critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail and management were some of the most preferred transferable skills in the corporate world. Organisations which promoted and developed transferable skills created more adaptable and agile workforce capable of thriving in any situation. Though transferable skills were effective in the corporate set up and were needed for the future, HR professionals found that problem solving, critical thinking, and the ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity were missing among employees.
