Abstract

This is a Spanish version. Alberto Marín, the CEO and founder of CompanyGame, a Spanish company based in Barcelona that specializes in business simulators, reflected on the significant growth that CompanyGame had experienced since its establishment in 1993. In the third quarter of 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Alberto, his son Víctor, and the rest of the team were contemplating the future of the organization. They acknowledged that the time had come to make a decision regarding the strategic direction that CompanyGame should pursue. Within a few days, the III Ibero-American Business Simulation Symposium would take place, providing an opportunity to present their proposal for new simulators to a significant portion of the academic community in their potential market. The future of the company depended on this decision. A technical note is included, providing a description of the main features of the business simulators.
