The concept of corporate governance (CG) took off very late in India compared to the developed nations. The case deals with the evolution of the concept in India and the factors that triggered it. The case also throws light on how the framing up of mandatory CG laws by the Indian regulatory authorities influenced the companies in the country. The case would provide an insight into the CG practices being followed in India and would also help compare and contrast different international codes on the concept.
