Abstract
This is the second of a two-case series (304-296-1 and 304-297-1). This case presents Podravka with two growth alternatives. The first one consists of acquiring Ital-Ice, a frozen foodstuff company with operations in the Istria region in Croatia, and the second one is manufacturing under private labels for Mercator, the main Slovenian retailer. In the face of these opportunities, a company management team must assess the alternatives and submit their recommendation to Mr Marinac and the board of directors. There is a Spanish translation available ''E304-297-1''.
