Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic made working from home a norm and necessity. But after the pandemic receded, employers had issued strict return-to-office mandates. However, the employees were not eager to return to the office. The employees were unwilling to give up the flexibility and perks that remote working offered. Employers faced the daunting task of luring employees back to the office. Recognising the need to create inviting workspaces, employers implemented the concept of office peacocking to lure employees back. This trend transformed traditional corporate offices into homey and inviting spaces. Employers made heavy financial investments to peacock their offices to draw remote workers to office spaces. The case would analyse whether the office peacocking trend could lure back employees to offices. Was office peacocking an effective trend or a lost cause?
