Abstract

The Wind Tre case describes the genesis, the implementation and the use of the new work model defined as 'Human Working.' This model of spatio-temporal flexibility in work organization was a key glue in the merger process between Wind and 3 Italia that led to the birth of Wind Tre. Wind Tre wanted to position itself not only as the leading telecommunications player in Italy, but as a player that is attentive to the needs of its employees and seeks to create an inclusive work environment. The values on which the 'post merger acquisition' was based not only supported the construction of the new brand's commercial identity, but also built and cemented a new organizational culture and a new way of conceiving the way of working. The case is designed to be used in both executive or master's classrooms and university classrooms, where topics such as organizational change management, human resource management, and 'diversity and inclusion' are addressed.
