Abstract
The case creates awareness of the overwhelming variety of different regulations that multinational enterprises have to adhere to in the field of corporate governance. DaimlerChrysler, as a truly global company, serves to illustrate this huge variety of regulation that it has to comply with. The task is to elaborate how a multinational like DaimlerChrysler can cope with this challenge and shape the process according to their preferences. The manifold array of different rules global companies have to follow constitutes their ''liability of globalness'', which in detail, is explained using the example of DaimlerChrysler.
