This case is appropriate for use in undergraduate, graduate, and executive programmes in human resource management, team dynamics and design, and implementation of quality programmes. The case chronicles the launch of a TQM (total quality management) programme in Gillette Argentina. The case protagonist credited the initiative with a 40% benefit in business while recognising that its success was heavily dependant upon the effects of teamwork and customer focus. Now he was faced with how to increase market share elsewhere on the continent and to preserve it in Argentina. His only real question now was how to expand the same TQM programmes elsewhere.
