JetBlue Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of JetBlue Airways. The case describes the evolution and growth path of JetBlue Ventures as it used its investment team and operations team to successfully invest in 53 start-ups over 8 years. It also explores the balance the entity tries to strike between strategic returns and financial returns. As the case concludes, it contemplates an opportunity for JetBlue Ventures to become self-funding thereby lessening the need for the parent, JetBlue Airways to provide capital on an annual basis.
