Abstract

In late 2000, Mr Pitt Kuan Wah, Director of the National Archives of Singapore (NAS), was in the position to implement an organisation-wide quality assurance system. His task was to assess and compare the following options: Singapore Quality Award for Business Excellence (SQA), ISO 9000, Six Sigma, to create in-house guidelines, and to select the most appropriate system to implement within the NAS.
