Abstract
This is the third of a three-case series (303-131-1 to 302-133-1). It describes the development of Spridge, and the steps taken by Rene Savelsberg to line up venture capital funding for the proposed spin-off of the company from Philips. In April 2000, the first A-round investment for Spridge was in the final stages. On 28 April a final conference call would align all the parties and potential investors involved. But Savelsberg still faced a number of unresolved issues.
