Abstract
Second of a two case series (395-111-1 and 395-112-1). In the middle of expansion finance negotiations with a venture capitalist a crisis hits the company with the loss of a major contract. The company survives, but at the cost of selling the rights to one of its new own-brand products. The venture capitalist is now proposing a new deal including a trade investor. The terms have deteriorated, but does the company have any alternative?
