Abstract
The case gives an overview of the competition in the Pizza market. The case focuses on the two big US pizza chains, Domino''s and Pizza Hut. The case discusses the various strategies - positioning, pricing, promotional, advertising, and expansion - adopted by both chains to garner a bigger share of the pizza market in India. From the case, students are expected to understand and analyse the various strategies of the major Pizza players in India. They are also expected to analyse the reasons behind the success of Domino''s and Pizza Hut in India. The case is intended for MBA/PGDBM level students as a part of the marketing curriculum.
