This spreadsheet is to accompany the case ''Nova Incorporated: Two Sourcing Opportunities'' (602-001-1). The abstract of the case is as follows: A request is made by a South American distribution centre (DC) to acquire products locally and a request from the Asian DC to enter into joint ventures. The case is an opportunity to raise fundamental questions about core competencies, company identity, where value is added, why manufacture, along with an evaluation of the risks and rewards of globalisation and partnering.
