CLEAR Communications Ltd (CLEAR) is a telecommunications company in New Zealand. CLEAR is part of British Telecom''s (BT) Asia-Pacific regional business unit and is a relatively young company operating in an increasingly competitive New Zealand telecommunications market. CLEAR''s strategic focus and supply management practices have enabled the company to compete successfully against a powerful incumbent organisation in the market, and restructuring of its parent company. The case is divided into two parts: part one presents the background information and a situational analysis of the company; part two provides an illustration of CLEAR''s supply management practices and how they fit into the supply chain issues of the company. This case study is suitable for students in commerce, business management and operations management. It is concerned with issues related to supply chain management and operations management.
