Abstract
This is part of a case series. In 1995, Sino Land Company Limited made the decision to spin-off its hotel and hospitality interests into a newly listed company known as Sino Hotels (Holdings) Limited. The re-structuring move was greeted with enthusiasm when it was first announced on 25 January, 1995. This case, which be used on a stand alone basis, describes the spin-off deal, Sino Land's performance before the spin-off, and the forecasts for its performance after the spin-off.
