Abstract
Cathay Pacific''s Data Centre, located in Hong Kong, had experienced an explosion and fire which disrupted normal business for thirteen hours. In the search for a more secure location, the problems with finding suitable offices in Hong Kong were highlighted and the benefits and advantages offered by other countries presented the company of re-locating the Data Centre, which housed the critical information systems that managed the entire airline worldwide, off-shore.
