Abstract

This is part of a case series. This is the second of a two-case series exploring the HR and business strategies of Paragon, a Nigerian merchant bank. The case is useful for a strategy course or a HR management course. The main objective of Part (I) is to examine the fit between the HR strategy and the business strategy. The objective of Part (II) is to get participants to critically evaluate Paragon's personnel policies, discuss their likely impact on performance and work on revising the policies.
