Abstract
This is the second of a two-case series (396-098-1 and 396-099-1). David Hillman, founder and Chief Executive of Property Vision plc, was in a difficult situation. Twelve weeks earlier, the company had successfully launched the Property Vision system, with nine agents subscribing to the system in the first month. Sales over the following weeks had, however, been non-existent, and the prospects for future sales were uncertain. Hillman and his partners had by now invested a total of £3 million in the company. Although Hillman felt that his partners were willing to fund the company for another few months, he himself was not sure that it made sense to invest any more money. He needed to assure himself that there would at least be a return on any new money that was invested.
