Abstract
This is the first of a three-case series (596-025-1, 596-026-1 and 596-027-1). Part 1 describes the start-up and development of a ''core'' business of ''portioned snacks'' distribution in the north of England and early diversification into running a licensed retail premises. The case describes an entrepreneurial partnership - two former students, with complementary selling and financial skills.
