Abstract
A mini valuation case, relating to Geotech (A) and (B) (395-065-1 and 395-066-1). Following discussions of a joint venture, a large quoted Canadian company offers to buy a 50% stake in a small UK company providing services to the offshore oil industry. Given the volatile earnings record of the target company, the directors have a challenge in establishing a value as a basis for negotiating with the suitor.
