Abstract
This is part of a case series. The cases can be used together or alone. This case begins with the launch of Exel Logistics as a dedicated contract distribution operator and an 'umbrella' brand for all NFC's distribution activities. It contains substantially more industry information than the (A) case, both on the changing UK/European distribution markets and on the new company structure. The case outlines the issues faced by this young company in seeking to internationalise their service/product/brand. It ends at the end of 1992 when the first cycle of strategic acquisitions was virtually complete and the company had to reach a decision on the next move(s).
