Abstract
This is the sixth of a seven-case series, (586-013-1, 586-014-1, 586-015-1, 586-016-1, 586-017-1, 586-018-1 and 586-019-1) and cannot be used independently of the other parts. The abstract of the the first case ''Astre Industrie SA Introduction'' (586-013-1) is as follows: This introductory note provides background information for a case series, which describes the activities throughout 1983 and 1984 of a company which manufactures aerosol valves. The company appraises and develops its own marketing activities and planning in order to ensure growth levels similar to those it had enjoyed in the past. The catalyst for this renewed interest in marketing is a reduction in the growth levels of their traditional markets.
