Abstract
The case deals with the management issues faced by the newly appointed director of leisure services of a local authority. In the light of significant environmental changes affecting local government he decided to undertake a leisure strategy review. The case outlines the discussion arising in relation to this and invites course members/students to consider the objectives and approaches they would pursue if in the director''s position.
