Abstract
The main aim of the case is to describe the changing production systems at Holset Engineering Co. Ltd. from a traditional push system to a JIT-pull system. In addition, a brief history of the company is given and a brief overview of the vehicle and diesel turbocharger market. It is suggested the case is used on degree courses with operations management options or core subjects. As push & JIT-pull production systems are key issues, positioning the case is predetermined.
