Abstract
This case study looks at an imaginary firm which produces pump parts in three host countries and assembles them and markets them in the home country. Oportunities for expansion are limited in the home country but the firm has identified two potential expanding markets abroad. The case, which is intended to be read and completed in a two hour session, is contrived to stimulate students to think about the market opportunities for the firm and how and where to expand its production facilities. It enables the tutor to consider factors which may affect the location of production and the ongoing opportunities or threats for transfer pricing.
