Abstract
The partners of C&S Sugary, a small maple syrup producing company located in central New Brunswick, are contemplating a more profitable means of packaging, distributing, and pricing their syrup. They are also interested in finding a means to promote more aggressively their sugar farm tours. Financial performance has been disappointing, however, both partners are reasonably satisfied with past performance. They appear to view their business as a hobby, although they would like to improve future performance. Sufficient information is provided to allow students to develop an appreciation for the nature of the industry in which CSS operates and to prepare a detailed marketing strategy for the forthcoming year.
