Abstract
The CEO of a large architectural and engineering firm must deal with problems of substance abuse by his professional employees - alcohol and drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and heroin and how to regulate use of tobacco products in company offices. The case discusses how the CEO has dealt with some specific cases and leads to a discussion of what specific policies, such as drug testing of employees, should be adopted by the firm.
