Abstract

This case concerns ETA 80 (Electronic Telephone Apparatus) which was designed in the late 70''s by acknowledged Yugoslavian industrial designer, Davorin Savnik for ISKRA, a Yugoslavian manufacturer. The design received numerous awards and determined the trend of world telephone design in the early ''80s. It was plagiarised in many countries without any indemnity to ISKRA or Mr Savnik. Mr Savnik has now designed a new product ETA 90 which appears to be just as successful. Mr Savnik and ISKRA now wish to be able to benefit from the situation and gain some return from the past. Mr Savnik makes a genuine offer of reward for assisting in exacting indemnity/royalties for him.
