Abstract
This case is designed to illustrate difficulties in implementing enlightened human resource policies and practices in a highly traditional Canadian bank which is moving ahead with improved consumer services while attempting to diversify into broader areas of banking. A range of personnel problems are posed and the student is required to evaluate these in terms of priorities, action to be taken and management changes to be made.
