Abstract
An industrial bearings company that shares overall market leadership with two other firms is under pressure from its distributors to reduce its prices because of a general market decline and the arrival in their main markets of price discounted bearings from overseas suppliers. This case gives students experience in turning theory into practice using the directional policy matrix. A computer-based training version of this case is also available (587-028-1).
