Abstract
The case outlines the problems facing an agricultural development project in introducing new products for distribution to the farming community. The following teaching points may be developed: (1) the product lifecycle; (2) product portfolio; (3) SWOT analysis; (4) the importance of selling product benefits; (5) the identification of early adoptives; and (6) the channels and methods for communication.
