Abstract
This is the last of a four part case series (382-054-1, 385-053-1. 385-056-1 & 385-057-1). The case describes the origination of ICL and its development from the late 1960''s to 1981, when the company suffered heavy losses and faced a major crisis. With the installation of new management and government guaranteed loans, the Company faces the onerous task of implementing a radically new strategy within a highly competitive and rapidly changing environment.
