Abstract
The case is based on the need for a decision to be made, following a Public Inquiry, on which of two alternative routes should be adopted for a proposed motorway link. Both routes run in an East/West direction from the City of Greater Manningham to connect with the M1, 20 miles to the west. Situated approximately mid way between Greater Manningham and the motorway is the town of Woton. The two alternative routes have been designated, the Green Route, running north of Woton, and the Yellow route, passing south of the town. The case is designed so that no further proposals are possible, the only course of action being a straight choice between the Green or the Yellow routes.
